Port removal procedure

Hi everyone! I completed all of my treatments in January so I no longer need my port. I'm scheduled to have the port removal procedure in June. I know that putting the port in was pretty non invasive and minimally painful, but I wasn't working at that time. I can't remember much about the days following my port surgery, but I do remember I was in pain and had a hard time moving my neck and arm comfortably. I work at a coffee shop right now, so I use my hands and arms a lot throughout the day, for big motions too. Did anyone take time off from work after getting their port removed? How long? I need to put in for the time off soon and I'd like to hear about your experiences working after the procedure so I have idea of how much recovery time I'll need. Thanks!!

I can't remember needing any recovery time at all.

My port hurt the whole time so it was a great relief to have it out. Maybe give yourself one day so you're not stressed and can take care of yourself.
