    It has been almost 8 months since my left breast mastectomy. A saline expander was placed at the time. In a couple of weeks, I'm scheduled for mastopexy on the right only since chemo is over now. My doc thinks I'll get a better, more symmetrical result if I wait till the reduced side heals, then go have a another surgery in a few months to place the implant in the mastectomy side. However, I am starting to lose patience with this whole process and the expander is starting to make my armpit sore so I'm now considering doing both at the same time. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do?
