Local Reoccurance of TN - Treatment Plan

If you had a local reoccurance of TN, I'd love it if you would share your treatment plan. So far I've had BMX. scheduled for Carboplatin/Gemar - 4 rounds.

I asked about a clinical trial and my oncologist said this situation is so "rare" I wouldn't quality for any. I found that statement to be unexpected.

I know these aren't completely uncharted waters and that somebody must have a story to share.

Thank you in advance.

I’m sorry that nobody has any experiences to share yet. I hope you find someone, it’s nice to be able to compare notes. I also hope that your plan snuffs out this reoccurrence! I did carboplatin myself and it’s certainly known to be powerful in fighting TN. I think that if you really want a trial, checking at MD Anderson or MSK might be an option. There is also a public database of trials that you can search. I can look for link if you need it. Best of luck to you.

Is there any plan for Xeloda? I was led to believe that would be next in line for TNBC... Sending you a hug, purplestargazer!

    Thanks for all the replies!

I did Xeloda after my lumpectomy due to residual disease at the time of surgery.

So this Carbo/Gemzar combo is next up.
