Second Opinions

I am still struggling with my situation. In August of 2018 a 'mass' /possible complex cyst was found in my right breast and I was called back for dx imaging; both mammogram and ultrasound. At the dx appointment, the mass was confirmed and I was told to come back in six months to see if anything changed. That waiting period was awful. I returned in February for my 6-month follow up imaging. The mass is not considered a cyst, seemed to have had some changes on images, grew a little, had become more vascular with a 'feeding' tail, and had become palpable. I was told to wait another year. At no point has the radiologist spoken with me. In the mean time, I have begun to experience intermittent pain/ache in the tumor/mass area and it has become more palpable - if that makes sense. My question is this. I have been trying to get a 'second opinion', but have not been able to get a referral for one - until today. However, it is to a general surgeon, one that specializes in 'abdomen issues'. I am thoroughly confused and beyond tired of worrying about this. Can anyone explain to me the definition of a 'breast specialist' and also who to actually see for a second opinion of all of my images and case? I would greatly appreciate any insights any of you may have.

Sorry this has taken this long for you. Def you need a breast specialist/breast surgeon. They only specialize in breast. Could be for breast cancer or benign conditions of the breast.
