Getting worried about a lump.

Oh my goodness, getting all psyched up to get.it.over.with and then having to wait would be just torturous! UGH. I hope by now you really are done with the test, and that the waiting for an answer will soon be over too. It is definitely the worst!

MRI shows no enhancement! My chest wall/ axilla is unremarkable! It is actually a BIRADS 2 so this makes me feel better. I had the stereotactic biopsy today and it went well. He said he got a good sample so now I wait for that. I am of course hoping it comes in by Friday. This has been emotionally exhausting and I am so wishing now I had chosen a BMX. Not sure with every 6 month imaging I can handle the anxiety. Thanks for listening. I will update when I get the biopsy results.

Good news Dani . I would hope your biopsy results would be available tomorrow or Thursday. I know mine were available very quickly. Waiting sucks! I am sure things will settle down with the six month imaging. To be honest though that was definitely a big part of my decision to get a bmx. I didn't want to be constantly getting imaging done. I still worry though, and I have had a biopsy on a mass I found that ended up being scar tissue and fat necrosis so there really is no perfect answer. Nice to get good news today - sleep well tonight.

Hi Dani. Hoping the biopsy rules out everything and you get to carry on with your regularly scheduled life...Claire very happy for you for your good news.
I've recently had mammogram and ultrasound following up on a lump in my cancer breast. Inconclusive so now I am gathering courage to call MO and ask what's next...MRI was what lit everything up originally and showed some bonus tumors. I just really don't want to start that toboggan ride again, you know? I have better things to do! Have only told dh and a friend.
I know I have to. Just hating the test, wait, test, wait, test.....
-
reflect- ugggg I am sorry your mammogram and US was inconclusive. I totally understand not wanting to go down that road. I wish you strength as you gather your courage to call your MO. All of this waiting and worrying really does suck. Let us know how things go
-
Thanks Dani, I called MO today and nurse read me report...all of which I knew. So, mammo and u/s did not see anything, great,.....except that lump is there, close to the chest wall and I am Stage 3 and I really don't want to mess around. They want me to come back in a year. Um. No. Nurse said MO will get back to me but she did not by end of day so maybe tomorrow. Let's poke a needle in there and see what it is!
-
I absolutely would want to know what that lump is. If MO does not take it seriously, then get a second opinion, and let him/her know that you're doing that.
-
Yes, KBeee I agree, and that is my plan. I got a 2nd opinion 3 years ago at dx and it did change the plan. Not pumped at the idea of travelling for that 2nd, but it is a better hospital.
-
My results are benign!!! So very relieved when I heard those words. Thank you all for your amazing support as I waited.
-
Oh Dani, I am so relieved and happy to learn this news!!!
