weird growth on skin on right foob

So... in a matter of a week or so, I developed a brownish mole like growth with a crusty kind of surface on my skin on the right side foob.

This is the side I had BC 15 years ago. It was irradiated.

The growth is somewhat circular, light brown, and about 1/8" or less in diameter. Its not red, swollen, sore or anything. And its not on the scar.

I guess I should have it looked at. Its seems so harmless though. Its just that it developed out of nowhere.

Anyone else have anything like this? I really cannot find any images of "skin mets" other than bad cases.

Please tell me I am being paranoid.

I was going to a dermatologist for whole body checks until last year. Certainly, have it evaluated.

My first thought upon reading your description was 'age spot' like I have on one cheek (facial, not bottom!)

On a fair skinned person, every little thing looks worse than it probably is but call for an appointment anyway.

A few months ago , I had a similar growth on my stomach. It seemed to appear overnight. I went to the dermatologist and had it removed. Dermatologist said it could be squamous cell cancer or benign. Fortunately it was benign. I would make an appt with a dermatologist if I were you.

My husband's skin just loves to grow cancer. Usually small basal cell thingies but he's had a few squamous cell spots that required Mohs excision. So when I noticed some new small brown crusty spots on his back and shoulder I chivvied him, pronto, to the dermatologist. They turned out to be small seborrheic keratosis lesions. Google them and see if your spot looks like what you see.

Seborrheic keratosis spots can grow pretty big and warty, but they're not dangerous. If they're itchy or unsightly they can be easily removed.

All this being said, if you have even a tiny concern, go get it checked.
