Adjuvant therapy

I was diagnosed in 2007 with bilateral ER+ PR+ HER 2- Stage IIIA, 5 positive nodes. Had chemo, radiation. I was allergic to Tamoxifen so took Lupron shots for 2.5 years then had oopherectomy and started Arimidex in 2011. Two oncos suggested I take AI the rest of my life. I saw decreases in my bone density and started having severe foot pain so recently stopped taking the Arimidex. I had a total of almost 11 years of adjuvant therapy. Has anyone else been told to take AI forever?
