I did my annual screening mammogram last Friday. My right breast hurts pretty bad when they press it during the examination. So I did a self check that night, feel some sort of lump in the right breast. That made me concerned a little bit.

This morning I got a call from my doctor's office, said my mammogram result is abnormal. They have found a thick area, diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound are required, maybe even a MRI. They also refer me to see a breast specialist and say she will help me to catch it early if i ever develop breast cancer.

So scared, anybody has similar experience turned out to be cancer?

capricorn, It is a scary time, but you are doing what you need to do and your Dr's are being very thorough. The odds are in your favor that it is benign. Catch your breath and put one foot in front of the other. You've got this! You can ask the Radiologist for a copy of the report if you want it. Best wishes moving forward! ((HUGS))
