Concerned about an indentation around areola

She has quit breasfeeding and this indentation comes with warmth around her areola. It appears to be where the breast pump suction cup fit.
It goes with cold . no lump. She went to Dr but Dr says he is not concerned and would not order an US or a mammogram.
Should she be concerned or was it trauma from breast pump?
