Pain 8 months after DIEP flap

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced the same type of pain this long after having DIEP flap reconstruction done. It only hurts on my cancer side, which is also where they removed a lymph node. I get muscle tightness and it feels as if my chest is going to explode. Overall, that side is much more sensitive to touch. I’m still going to PT to get massages and still working on range of motion. Doctors just say that I’m still healing. It’s been about 8-9 months and the pain still lingers. I’m hoping it will go away over time.

I had a lot of tightness and ROM issues for years. Try to find a PT who does the Barnes method of Myofascial release. It smooths out the fascia and allows the muscles to glide. I went through a lot of pain and tightness with various PT and livestrong until I found someone who specialized in this. It isn't instananeous but applied appropriately over time was able to get me to a pain free place.
