I am about to have double mast and know full well I won't be able to clean my house. I don't have relatives nearby to help me.

I have read that there are free house cleaning services for women who have or about to undergo cancer treatment.

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Well no replies, I guess all of you never used Cleaning For A Reason. Or had bad luck.

I contacted Molly Maids in my area, who said they are affiliated with CFAR. I have yet to hear from them. Sad. when you really need such service at a difficult time, you would think they would reach out.

I'm sorry you're not having luck with the services or getting information from people here. I hope something useful appears.

Have you gone through the application process with Cleaning For A Reason? Your physician has to send a letter stating that you are undergoing treatment. They match you up with a participating company - if they have availability and participating companies in your area, but I don't think you can contact the company directly yourself. If you have a preference of which company you want there is a place in the application that you can specify. I did not use this service but I understand that they provide one cleaning a month for two months.

SpecialK - On Cleaning For A Reason website it shows that there several cleaning services in my area that participate. What I have read from others who commented on this free service (their own blogs etc) that they signed up and was always told no service in there area. Yet, they did what I just did. Looked on the websites to make sure they do participate and are in my area. Thats why I contacted the cleaning service directly. To make sure. Yet no response. Makes me wonder...

Secondly, read that the cleaning services who are assigned never show up. That they prefer to handle all their "paying" customers first before cleaning for free.
