    Dear Friends,

    I need to have a right heart cath in order to diagnose a problem I am having as a result of a pulmonary embolism. They will need to go in on the right side which is the side of my mastectomy. I do have lymphedema as well.

    They will use either my jugular in my neck, or the vein in my groin. According to what I have read, the jugular is the preferred route, so my question is can they use my jugular without compromising the lymphedema?

    In my opinion—I did the lymphedema therapist training— it should be fine. Good luck
