The waiting is so hard

I am a breast cancer survivor, finished with my radiation, chemo, etc., in 2008. Last Wednesday I had an ultrasound done, the technician said everything looks fine (even though she kept going over and over my nipple and said she was confused). She said the doctor reading the ultrasound might see it differently, and then the next day my doctor called me in. I was told they found something suspicious and that they were going to send my paperwork off to the hospital (where I previously had my Oncologist). Nobody explained what would happen next, I figured I would get a call with an appointment to do an MRI or Biopsy (since the doctor said that is what is written on the Ultrasound). I waited and waited, I didn't hear anything and was getting very anxious. I called the doctor's office and the receptionist said, I don't know why we haven't heard back, we wrote "urgent", let me check. She calls me back and says that I need to go and get my ultrasound on a CD and take it to the hospital (this sounded odd to me). I went and got my CD, took it to the hospital, I was told that today I would hear back about an appointment, still waiting.

In total as of tomorrow I have been waiting a week and I have no idea exactly what it is I am waiting for.

HELP, I am really frustrated and nervous.
