Savi Scout Placement

Hi everyone -

I had the Savi Scout placed today and wanted to share my experience since I didn't see much posted about it. I guess it can be done via mammogram or ultrasound. The doctor decided ultrasound would work for me. I laid on a table and had to hold my arm above my head the whole time. It was awkward and uncomfortable but that was the worst of it. I felt the pinch and stinging of pain killers. During the placement, I also felt a pinch but it was tolerable. Afterward there were mammogram images taken to confirm it is in the correct location. It's now 7 hours later and I don't feel anything. Overall, it was a quick easy process that will hopefully make the surgery day (tomorrow) easier.

I am glad the Savi Scout went well for you and I hope your surgery did as well. I also had a Savi placed about 13 days before surgery and they used mammogram to help place it. It was a little uncomfortable but it was quick and the pain was minimal.
