Neupogen shots?

I've had to take Neupogen shots the past 2 weeks to boost my white blood cell counts.  On the plus side - it works as intended and my WBC is now within range.  On the minus - I swear the SE's are worse than the Taxol / Carboplatin!  I'm more nauseous, have more bone and muscle pain, and the official list of SE's (possible spleen rupture!!) are frightening!   I'm glad there is something to help keep my chemo on track, and I don't want to sound like a baby, but damn.

Anyone else struggled with Neupogen?  Maybe it's just the chemo accumulation?

I was told to take a Claritin to help with side effects. So far so good for me

I second the Claratin (not Claratin D!) recommendation. I had terrible bone pain the first round, then I tried generic Claritin, and bingo - no pain. I started it a couple of days before the first injection and continued through the 8 days. Worked like a charm.
