A few months ago I started taking collagen for arthritic pain in my hands and I felt great with it in general. I started reading about collagen and that it can cause breast cancer especially in women with dense breast, which is my problem. I go for yearly mamo and sonogram and Dr Derisi has performed surgery on me but thank God no cancer. Can someone tell me if its true collagen is dangerous in women with dense breast? I would love to resume taking it if it is safe.
