Has anyone here ever had it? How did you know that’s what it was? I’m a month post bilateral mastectomy, and I have this odd pain that goes down my forearm. I think it’s nerve pain, but I’m not sure? I’ve not had any issues and it’s been smooth sailing, so I can’t complain! The only way I know how to describe it? It feels like it’s in my veins. And I don’t know what is normal anymore and what isn’t. I hate to constantly keep asking my same friend for help? So I came here instead! I feel so stupid some days! Stupid cancer

A lot of my weird sensations improved with stretching (the physical therapy exercises the hospital gave me),and massaging the lymph node area and my affected arm.Have you been doing that already?

What you describes sounds like it might be cording.. Quite common after a big surgery. I got it shortly after and then again about six months later. You’ll find threads in this forum

Hi, I have what feels like tendinitis or tennis elbow in my right arm. It’ll be three weeks tomorrow since my BMX.

I had similar pain in my left arm a few days after surgery so I asked my surgeon about it. She said it was common and would pass, and that sometimes it hits after a couple of weeks after surgery, so I have not called the office about the right arm and assume it will pass. The right arm is where the SNB was performed.

I’m just not sure if I should be stretching, or if that exacerbates it?

It is additional pain no one needs, and would really like to leave Advil behind.

    Hang in there

Mom2Sarah, I will echo another poster in that it does sound like you might be developing cording. I would push for your surgeon to refer you for a good physical therapist who is knowledgeable about those that have had breast surgery. I developed cording but it was mostly resolved with a few good therapy treatments.
