Do you want them for workouts later, or recovery for the next few weeks?

For workouts daily workouts at the gym.Not for recovery I won't be working out for a few weeks. At this point I am thinking I need to look at girls (kids) ones...?

Hi! I had a double mastectomy on 4/12/19 without reconstruction. I found really comfortable sports bras from Athleta. They are a bit pricey, but they have several styles that you can also place their “empower" inserts if you were wanting to use soft breast forms. They come in all different cup sizes and actually look pretty good! They are also only $10 for 2- they come 2 in a pack of the same side though, so if you order make sure you get both sides. I’m not sure why it will not let me post a link, but if you go to athleta.com and search “empower” it should come up

Some days I want to wear a snug sports bra, some days not so snug. I wear either an XS or a SM. I have also purchased some in the girls(kids) dept . Sometimes those run short & ride up.

Initially after my BMX, I had to wear sports bras a little loose. It was hard to put them on. Pulling them up & down over my chest was uncomfortable. I purchased some cheap one's(size Med) from Kmart & wore them inside out. That way the seams wouldn't be next to my skin.

Tanktops, the ones with built in bras are awkward & uncomfortable. I wear a fairly loose fitting tank(no built in bra) over my sports bra to work out. I never pay list price for sports bras or tanks. I usually get them at discount stores like Marshall's or Ross.

Finding clothes, of any kind, was easier than I expected. Sometimes a little too easy. I have too many clothes. I don't adhere to the camoflage techniques you'll read about(scarfs, big jewelry, big patterns, ruffles). I found all of those things uncomfortable & definitely not me.

I've found some great products at Costco. I'm small, even smaller now. These tanks have become a wardrobe staple.

Buy them at Costco, only $13 for a pack of 3.

I even workout in them. Also purchased 2 packs of the Costco Jockey Bralettes. I remove the pads and wear in Spin class. Both products are very soft and don't bother my incision. Also very inexpensive, $10 for 2 bralettes.

The Athleta tops don't feel as comfortable to me, but it's worth trying a few products to see what's best for you.

    Good luck!
