I am looking to have reconstruction on my radiated breast. I had also a lumpectomy. So far it doesn’t seem like anything can be done. First off I have thin skin and it’s been damaged by radiation. Secondly I don’t have a lot of fat in that breast. I was recommended to remove implant from augmentation I had done long ago and try to do a lift with fat grafting. I am not sure if I should do this. Does anyone else have the same issue or have done this procedure

i encourage you to consult with several plastic surgeons. You will find that some are more creative than others but also not all do all surgeries. For example the top recommended PS in my area who did reconstruction for many of my friends over the previous 20 years does not do the surgery I wanted. If I hadn’t talked to other surgeons I would not be where I am today (happy with my reconstructed breast)

I can’t answer your question directly as I had a mastectomy not a lumpectomy. I did have 7 weeks of r

I am getting a tissue exchange surgery on Monday. I had radiation on my breast area with a tissue expander already in place.
