Large lump and ultrasound

hello all!

About 6 weeks ago I found a large lump on my left breast.

Ive has one full period and on my second now, with no changes to lump.

Today I finally got in for an ultrasound.

After about a five minute app. The tech said she couldn’t see anything.

It is there, it hurts by times. My doctor felt it, and the tech even was able to feel it by touch

She checked another much much much smaller lump I mentioned but didn’t really have me worried. It was a cyst. However she did not seem to have any luck at all with the large (I would say 1 1/2 - 2 inch lump)

Has anyone else experienced this? She basically said the radiologist will check it and decide from there if I’m high risk enough for a mamo. Or if they will just then turn it back over to my family doctor and let her decide what she wants to do.

I am so confused as to how it can be so easily felt and yet not show up at all. The very very very small lump I felt was easily found, and obviously showed on ultrasound!

So do I push for more testing, a mamo or a mri? Do I just drop it and watch it myself? Is there something commonly out there that causes such large mass without being detected, that may give me piece of mind.

Any input is muchly appreciated ☺️
