Far right side lump by rib/edge of breast--anyone had this?
So call me paranoid. But I had felt a lump outside my breast on right side this time but it was far right by edge of breast/rib area, this was last year. My br surgeon as I recall last year was concerned about it but all was supposedly cleared via ultrasound as being a lymph node. Fast forward to this year. I am a thin person....but I can see this bump when I put my arm up and I can feel it as well. Is this normal? If it is truly a lymph node then why would it be a bump....like it is a real bump not just a small tiny thing. I am watching it. I have my next 6 mo check up in May....automated ultrasound and breast check with assoc of my breast surgeon. I am assuming I can just wait til may. I guess I would have thought it would have basically gone away if it was a lymph node I thought they were supposed to be tiny?

anyone ever have this?

I had one like this ages ago that was a lipoma (benign) but I think it is worth getting it checked. A lymph node can swell but generally it goes back down so if this is persisting, have it checked. Hopefully it's nothing but better to know!

Thank you santabarbarian! Good to know your experience! Yeah that is what I'm thinking, have it checked again. I just keep thinking it will go down and I won't be able to feel it. But so far that's not the case. I can see it when I lift up my arm.I'm due for another ultrasound check in May. I’m probably just being paranoid.

Hi, I have a palpable lymph node in the armpit on my non cancer side, had ultrasound, they said normal lymph node, I said why can I feel it? They said maybe because you're thin🤷♂️ but it's a normal one. I can still feel it, feels about like the size of the top of my pinkie, like a jelly bean, which is how I found my cancer on the other side! But I keep having it checked. still normal! So. I just keep checking it.

Lymph nodes once enlarged, can take months or more to decrease in size. But please do follow up for your own peace of mind.

Hi CaliKelly: Wow that is good to know....someone else has one like mine I guess huh? Yeah it is really a bump on me. I am thin too but it is strange why it doesn't go away or get smaller. That is the part that nags at me. But you are right, I will continue to get it checked. I have ultrasounds on my breasts every 6 mo due to no drugs/radiation and low prolif rate low grade and low stage. My onco was fine with me choosing that as long as I keep having diagnostics. Mammo missed my cancer dur to extremely dense tissue so I have chosen to have ultrasounds.
Thanks for sharing your experience!! It is always good to know others are going through this too!

TB90 thank you for letting us know this. It has been a year I think since having this checked....so yes definately will be checking it out at my next appt for ultrasound in May.
