Stage IV, going through 3rd cycle chemo. Eyes Yellow

Doctor said the bilirubin levels are high and I need to go to ER / hospital to put stent to release it. Anybody gone through similar situation? Any suggestions highly appreciated.

Im so weak could not eat for a week now, (liquid food is fine, high constipation due to pain medication).. 3 days back cough started and eyes are yellow now.

I haven't had a stent but there are definitely others who have. I hope one of them will respond. Please go to ER ASAP as time is important in your case. Thinking of you.

I hope you are reading this from the hospital! I had a close call with liver failure recently, and have been swept back from the edge by Gemzar/Carboplatin (and a canny Oncologist).

They will be very keen on getting your bowels to open to reduce your ammonia levels. Let them do what they need to do.

Hope to hear from you soon that your eyes are bright white, and that your liver is behaving.

Pink woman, my mom had a stent put in to release the bilirubin a few years back. She was older and did just fine with the procedure. She was VERY yellow. A day after we could see the results, the yellow fading away.
