Echo-cardiogram after BMX

Had my BMX 3/13 - they want to do my echo-cardiogram in preparation for Herceptin on Monday 3/25. I understand you have to lay on your side and they use a wand to scan your chest. I'm wondering about pain/comfort factor of doing this so soon after BMX. Should I push it out a week? Who has experience with this? (or am I worrying for nothing!)

I’ve had echos after bmx. Not that soon after though. A male tech was pressing too hard and I told him so. He backed off the pressure and all was ok. Speak up if it hurts.

I wasn’t lying on my side for echo and my technician was fantastic. They are used to dealing with BMX patients. My recollection was he didn’t come near any of my incisions with the wand.

I hear you being fearful I was too, but don’t be. It was totally painless and the technician had me all covered up so my newly BMX was not on display!!

    Good luck.
