I'm having a mastectomy with Dr Blair in a couple weeks. My wedding is in July and I'm panicking that I won't be recovered if I do direct to implant. Has anyone gotten a mastectomy with her? Were you happy with your results? I'm spiraling a little bit with all of the different options and decisions that have to be made. Let me know if you've gone to Moore's and have an advice! Thank you so much :

With direct, do you still have fills, or does the implant go through under your skin without stretching and already filled.

Be sure to talk to surgeon about time involvedThe fills take up to 2 months if you can not tolerate the fill amount.

direct would be silicon so I wouldn’t need fills! I’m a G right now, so they think I should be fine to just use my skin for a C cup

Are the implants going above the pec muscle? When I explored this with a different PS, I understood the recovery time to be about 6 weeks.

Tnadav - I did Direct to Implant with my mastectomy and couldn't be more thrilled with the results! Recovery was also not nearly as bad as I had imagined. I had surgery the last week of Nov, hosted Christmas Eve dinner and went on a NYE vacation 4 weeks later. 8 weeks later my husband and I were in Vegas and I sat poolside in a bikini, something I would have never thought would be possible so soon after surgery. Direct to Implant was great since it eliminated the need for a second surgery and as long as you are consistent with the arm exercises (I also feel like some light yoga aided me a ton) you should experience a fairly quick recovery. Best of luck and feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
