Worried about Areola Eczema

I'm 22 y/o, around January, my left areola had a small dry patch. I didn't take much notice of it and used my own lotion and aloe gel to 'moisturize' it in hopes of it going away. It didn't go away, and spread throughout the areola (nipple not affected), making my areola hardened and dry. It was extremely depressing every time I took off my bra and would see dry skin flakes on the insides of my bra. Few weeks after, my right areola also got a small dry patch (nipple also not affected). At this point, my left areola was hardened, dry and flaky. I went to a GP about 3 weeks ago, she suspected it was eczema as it was happening on both areola and she prescribed me cortisone cream, which I believe is steroid cream, and referred me to a breast clinic. At first it looked like it was getting better as the skin softened and was no longer flaky. But now my left areola is weeping!! I've been putting a dressing strip over it and whenever I take it off, it has a yellow-ish tint. I'm worried it now might be infected. I'm also super worried that it might be serious like Pagets, this whole situation is (naturally) causing me anxiety. The only thing that makes pagets unlikely, is that my right areola also has a dry patch that my left areola also started with. I'll be having my appointment at the breast clinic next week, hoping for the best. Has anyone had similar experiences?
