I can't believe I'm finding myself back here but I could use the support.
Original dx was 6/2017 -/-/- IDC, stage 2. No lymph involvement. I had ACT chemo, lumpectomy, and rads.
That was followed with Xeloda and I've been on Keytruda (immunotherapy) as part of a trial since August. Presumed to be NED since my surgery 11/17.
I had a mammogram in January that was completely benign. I pushed for an ultrasound b/c of dense breast tissue so they did an ABUS screening u/s and I got a letter in my mychart saying that there were findings that needed further investigation.
Tomorrow I go in for a diagnostic ultrasound to investigate some "shadows" seen on the ABUS. There is no BIRADS code.
I'm furious about the process (why was this news delivered in a letter? Why did I not have a screening u/s to begin with?) and terrified. Anyone had this happen?
