Any experience with Texas Oncology?

I'm possibly looking for a new medical oncologist for long-term monitoring.

I had excellent experiences with them during my clinical trial. They were thorough and helpful. Good luck

I go to TX Onc. My experience has been good. I was going to Austin Cancer Center, but my MO moved to TX Onc last yr...so, I can't speak from much experience overall, other than my MO, since I just go for follow-ups now.

Look up the Hill Country Warriors thread and you may find others. We get together once in a while, if that is something you are interested in, pls do! Everyone is welcome:)

I went to Texas Oncology for radiation and would not hesitate to go back if needed. For an organization which treats large numbers of people I found the cars to be very personalized.

Thanks for your input! I've since discovered that although I could find an MO at Texas Oncology who accepts my insurance, the actual facility does not. I keep running into this.

Hi Texas! I am in Fort Worth and was recently diagnosed with BC. I'm going to The Center, which only handles cancer. My doctor is Dr. Robyn Young and she only sees breast cancer patients, and I LOVE her! I also like it that most of my testing (bone scan, CT scan, blood draws, etc.) can be done at The Center, so I don't have to drive all over town. I don't know what kind of insurance you have, but I only have Medicare, and they accept that.

I go to the main campus downtown, but they have other locations. If you're interested, just google thecentertx.

    Best of luck to you!

    Victoria

Thanks Victoria! I'm happy to hear that you found a good place to go. For now, I've got an appointment with MD Anderson although they've confirmed that they do not accept any Medicare Advantage plans so I'll have to move again in a few years.
