I was treated for bc with implant reconstruction following and wondering if anyone else has gotten letters regarding the FDA's current 2019 ALCL updates from their PS. I know the FDA currently advises us with textured implant not to have them removed if there are no symptoms, but I am still worried if these recommendations will ultimately be upgraded over time as more cases of ALCL are reported and become more transparent as has been the case. This is especially true now as the FDA is just started this FEB 2019 alerting all physicians, not just PS, now of the risks of ALCL with textured implant, which will likely increase the reporting of diagnosis of ALCL to FDA. Link below from Dec 2018 article below about diagnosis of 11 ALCL cases in US from 2010 to 2016.

Still worried if ALCL risk ratios will climb as more cases of ALCL are reported and become more transparent as has been the case over the last few years, especially after the Feb 2019 FDA alert to all physicians, not just PS, of the risks of ALCLwith textured implant, which will likely increase the reporting and/or diagnosis of ALCL.
