Are some Tamoxifen pills film coated?

I just picked up my Tam prescription and noticed they are chalky tablets, not film coated. I have swallowing issues and I know I won’t be able to swallow these. Are there some varieties that are film coated to make swallowing easier? I would love to be able to get the liquid form but it is too expensive. :(. Thanks all

    I don't know about the film coated - I don't think so.

Sometimes doctors can get insurance to cover more for a drug if they can show it's medically necessary. It might be worth asking your doctor to talk with your insurance to get a better rate on the liquid.

Sometimes pharmacists have things that they can do to make taking a medication easier. It might be worth also asking a really good pharmacist for ideas and recommendations. For example, some drugs can be smashed up and then eaten with apple sauce or something like that. I have no idea if tamoxifen is one of them, but a good pharmacists should know or be able to find out.

I’ve had refills by a few different manufacturers and none were coated but I occasionally have trouble with pills too and these have only stuck a couple times. A 2nd gulp of water was all it took.
