Possible Liver Mets?

Options

Hi guys!I guess I'm just looking for your experience. Today I had my labs drawn before I had my infusion of Perjeta/Herceptin. The nurse tells me my AST/ALT numbers were quite elevated. I get a message from my onc nurse asking if I'd changed meds (no) taken a large amount of Tylenol (no) or changed my drinking habits ( I did have a beer and a shot of tequila at a wedding 4 days ago). My fear of course is that cancer has spread there. I'm 39, stage 2, triple positive and had lumpectomy in January. I didn't even know what those number represented until today. They had always been normal. Just curious if others have had this experience. I go in for follow up labs next week.

Hello, first, I want to say, I don't post often but I do read the beautiful, encouraging, heartfelt and honest comments. My reason for posting is to just vent a little to a group who understands. I recently had a stomach ultrasound due to upper middle and left stomach pain. The ultrasound basically read kidneys unremarkable (okay) gallbladder unremarkable, liver normal size however, there is a 0.8 presumed cyst with multiple septations etc. Okay, when I read presumed that means radiologist (apparently not sure) and what the heck is septations! Okay, I found out( and not by a doctor,) any cyst with thin septations, thick septations etc. Is a high risk for malignancy. Also, 0.8 is to small to test. The cyst has to be 2 or 5cm. What! So, I have to wait til it grows for someone to mention or test! Radiologist do not even mentioned it or give it concern when that small. However, I believe the earlier you catch a medical situation the better. I am having a difficult time believing that there's nothing I can do to check out a presumed cyst for malignancy! Also, I have reviewed other imagining and scans of my stomach in the past and my liver has never showed this. Feeling a little anxious and like I need to be proactive.

    Hi Nonnie,

I'm in a similar ish situation, although my scan results do say that they want to look at the, 'benign' nature. I had a haemangioma on my liver, which I knew about, but also two other areas they want to look at - cysts or something. I remember having an ultrasound on my liver at the beginning when I was diagnosed, so maybe you can push for that. So, nobody has mentioned anything about being concerned? If not, that's good. Googling is never good. I understand your worries though and feeling that you want to be proactive
