I have lost 30 lbs in 2 months and gained back.

I am planning to redo.

This diet also makes ketones. I am dx with bc.

Surgery yet to be done. After that most likely radiation and pill.

I heard during the pill taking u don't lose weight.

After rads I want to delay the pill for 3 to 4 months and lose all the weight and then go on pill. Not sure if it is a good idea.

And I heard ketones increase bc cells by 70 pct.

I am wondering if the keto diet might aid in recurrence.

I personally wouldn't delay your hormone therapy to try to lose weight. You won't necessarily gain weight on it...I have actually lost weight on it, 10 lb over 2 years. And that's 3-4 months for any residual tumor cells to grow freely while you are unprotected by medication. I also saw some study along the way that ketosis can lead to liver mets--not sure where that was. I personally would avoid the keto diet like the plague, but many women here on the boards follow it and seem to like it (and are clearly not worried about it).

Karmic108 If I am understanding your post correctly you have recently been diagnosed and are waiting on your surgery to occur and then treatment to begin? If I were you I would ask where you are being seen at to discuss this all with a dietitian that works with the cancer patients.

Where I am seen at they do not want you losing weight to start with. They want you to keep up your muscle mass as people with a higher muscle mass seem to heal better and get through treatments easier.

Check though I would hope they would have someone for you to discuss what will be safest for your situation.

    Good luck with everything!
