No chemo-lumpectomy after one year of arimidex- had radiation- Recnetly developed bone chills- going through me- cant get warm enough- want to know how to stop them - only have 3.5 months to go for the 5 years. - had the blood test that tells if more arimjidex would help- it came out negative- Any suggestions or help with bone chilling spasms-

    Hi Goodkin-

Weird that you would just be getting them this far into treatment. I had them at the beginning. Ridiculously cold, shivering, couldn’t get warm. I thought maybe it was my body recovering and adjusting to everything. I have no tips. After a few months it went away. I remember it was exhausting.

Congratulations on your 5 years coming up soon!

He doesn’t know as didnt have them 4 months ago. I will ask the breast surgeon as see her next week after the mammogram to look at the microcalcifications in the R breast. She wanted follow up in 4 months while radiologist said 6 . Now I have to have the other breast done for the yearly in 2 more months as Medicare wont pay now-too early. I should be thankful that I have good insurance .

I have bone chills too. They come and go. It is two yrs since my lumpectomy and 1&1 1/2 since I started Letrozole. I don't get them every day but when they happen I am very cold. I was reading about a study being done about this. Research has concentrated on hot flashes now they are recognizing cold spells. Now research is starting. Hoping all goes well with you. Keep warm or shiver with me.
