I am five years out from my IBC cancer and now have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. So far no cancer but not sure what it is

Lots of things can cause swollen lymph nodes - a mild case of the flu, an upper respiratory infection, a tooth abscess, an infected skin wound, rheumatoid arthritis, basically any viral or bacterial infection in your body can cause them to swell.

When you say so far no cancer, does that mean you've had a clear scan? If so and the swelling persists for a few weeks and you can rule out a cold or the flu, you should see your GP to find out what is causing it.

I get swollen, and sometimes sore, lymph nodes in my neck at the drop of a hat--almost literally. A cold, a canker sore in my mouth, strep throat, you name it.

That being said, Lori gave you good advice. Go see your GP if there's no reasonable explanation.
