Bone marrow mets

Hi All,

I need some info because I am so confused now. I was on hormonals for a long time and the last one was aromasin. My ONC took me off of it for a month due to low platelett counts because he thought it may have be the hormonals lowering my plateletts. A month goes by, and my plateletts still going a little lower. ONC now suspects that the mets ae growing in the marrow now cause I have no pain in my bones. He is now talking chemo. I am scared to death of chemo (mainly cause of hair loss) and wondering what drugs do I get now for the marrow mets and how does it effect you.

Please don’t be distressed by the thought of chemo-induced hair loss! Not all of them will have that side effect. If it does occur, there are cute wigs and scarves you can use. For early stage cancers, it almost always grows back: mine did although it now seems to be thinning due to the anti-estrogen treatment.

I would be more concerned about getting an accurate diagnosis. Is a biopsy planned?
