I'm 2 years post reconstruction.... AGAIN....and I HATE my implants!! My chest is TIGHT... I have constant zings and zaps from nerve bundles....they're COLD.... and I just HATE them... I go to sleep thinking about them... and I wake up thinking about them.. sometimes the skin is so tight? I cannot breathe. Has anyone made the decision to get them COMPLETELY REMOVED..after having reconstruction? What's been your experience? How was it mentally when you saw that completely FLAT chest? What was the recovery time? Thanks so much in advance. I'm on the fence about this.

Well, there is no guarantee that removing them will fix the problems you describe. Post mastectomy pain syndrome can cause much of the same even in those who stay/go flat. I would try and find out for sure the cause of your symptoms before resorting to surgery. Get a few opinions!

Thank you! I will definitely seek out opinions..... and you’re completely right... there is NO guarantee another surgery will fix this. I’ve had seven surgeries so far..... maybe I just have to accept the hand dealt me and live with it. Thank you for your reply
