LATTICE MEDICAL has developed the MATTISSE bioprosthesis which allows a natural, personalized breast reconstruction in a single surgery. (3-D printed breasts!!!)

Google search for this company: lattice-medical

I am most likely not a candidate for DIEP and cannot afford the $20-$30,000 to go to NOLA.(I called and investigated the cost since that group is out of network.) I'm sure they could work wonders in my case, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend. I do not "qualify" for programs like My Hope Chest and fall in the middle of having commercial insurance, but also not enough fat in the right places.

In addition...not happy with my gummy implants as the Radiation treatments ruined the diseased side now that I am a year out from finishing treatments and now the other is acting up with odd rashes and pain. I had a nipple sparing BMX and wonder if infection can be an issue from bacteria entering the nipple and not enough vascularity to fight it off. I don't regret the added protection from the Rads.however, now my skin is so tight and the implant has shifted so far up, I am lopsided and look ridiculous! I am in the process of checking out strange burning pain on the cancer side (left) and now rash and nipple pain and swelling on the prophylactic side with an MRI today which I had to fight and fight to get! Basically, I am in a lot of pain. Bottom line, breasts (what's left-skin and nipple) should not hurt!! What to do?

Maybe I'll just get both implants removed, go flat and wait for 3-D breasts! Any clinical trials for this? Sounds like a great option and affordable! When can this be an option? Hurry up!!! The company developing this fantastic option is Lattice Medical.
