Taking an AI while having BLBC but not TN?

My mammaprint showed that my tumor had a basal subtype (BLBC) but whereas most basal cancers are triple negative, mine was highly hormone receptive. I had AC/T chemo and have been taking letrozole for a year. But what I have read is that all basal cancers have the same problematic prognosis as TN and that the only therapy that has a chance is chemo. Apparently (if I understand it correctly) something about the basal subtype prevents the hormone therapy from working even if you are ER+ and PR+ . If this is right there is no point in my taking letrozole or any other AI. I have asked my MO generally about what the basal diagnosis means but I had not read that about the ineffectiveness of AI for BLBC when we talked about it. Obviously he believes the letrozole is helping but I wonder now. Tomorrow I have an appt with him and I am going to put it very directly to him about the point of my continuing the letrozole. But I wondered if anyone else on this board has this very rare diagnosis and if so what your MO prescribed? Thanks, Polly
