Ultrasound suspicious: biopsy recommended,
Had a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound on 1/29/19. Ultrasound results:
In the left breast, 3 oclock, subareolar location, 1 cm from the nipple appreciated a hypoechoic irregular marginated solid
nodule, measuring 8 x 6 x 8 mm. This could be benign fibrocystic change, however small invasive malignancy cannot be
completely excluded.
Waiting on biopsy scheduled for 2/7/19. I am so scared that I cannot sleep, eat, or function.
Any advice would be so appreciated.

thank you so much.

if possible, treat yourself to some favorite activity you love, favorite snack or dinner, or binge on favorite movies and series on tv . My personal favorite is tending my little attempts at gardening but the weather can kick that to the curb. Hang in there. We're all walking with you. Hugs and peace. J

Thanks you so much for the advice and support.

I had a bit to wait for my biopsy so I managed to really work myself up. I know it's really hard but try to take your mind off of it. I recommend binge watching to corniest shows on Netflix. Now that I am on the other side of it, I can say that my imagination was WAY worse than the actual experience. The funny thing with me was that I was such a wreck before the biopsy that once it was done I didn't even sweat waiting for the results. People here are so great that if it turned out to be bad news, I knew where to turn to talk me through the next steps.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. It means so much to me.

Had the biopsy today. Radiologist says it looks like a cluster of cysts but the biopsy needle didn't reflect fluid. So they took tissue out. More waiting for pathology results.
Funny thing. My heart was beating so fast that the radiologist could feel and see it on ultrasound
I will get through this with much love and support
Thanks for listening

Ha ha. My radiologist said the same thing about my heart. Glad you made it through it. Keeping my fingers crossed that you will have good results.

I received good news this morning. No cancer. I do have a papilloma that needs to probably come out. I will follow up with a breast specialist soon. But praise God no cancer
Thank you for caring

That is awesome news. Mine also turned out to be a papilloma and they took it out last week. It was a lot less painful than the biopsy.

Thank you for the reply. Glad to hear about the pain leve

Hi
An update concerning my excisional biopsy of the intraductal papilloma. The surgery went well and pathology results were benign. Many thanks to the best surgeon and Levine cancer institute. Praise God for answered prayers
Thanks for all of your support

So happy for you - great news!!

hi!! I as well am waiting on a biopsy now. Radiologist said he saw a small spot and was concerned because of its rough edges. I cried and have been a wreck since Friday. Have to wait a week for biopsy. I’m in menopause so hoping it’s related. I’m gonna call tomorrow and see if they can get me in sooner.
-
Urbanism: Make sure you get a little anxiety medication before the biopsy. I didn't, they thougt I was stroking out.
-
urbanfarm - so sorry you have to wait. I think the majority of us agree it’s the most difficult part of the process. I agree ask for something to help you relax. No crime in that it’s completely understandable.
Keep the faith and keep us posted.

I am waiting on the biopsy results. Waiting is agonizing. I am glad to hear that many have come back with a result other than cancer. At least that's what I am assuming the papilloma diagnosis is. I should probably read more of the information here.
