Invasive Pagets breast cancer

Just under two weeks ago, I had a mastectomy & reconstruction procedures. Waiting for my lab results which will determine my chemo treatment. This is my second brush with cancer & wonder if fellow Paget patients have, after treatment, experienced the same problem with the other breast?

Sorry to hear your situation. I am interested also in what course cancer took with other Paget's patients. I had full nipple excision due to Paget'sjust before Christmas and they found high grade DCIS in the tissue they removed that had not shown on any ultrasound or mammogram. So after 3 weeks of umming and erring I have decided to have a mastectomy, there are too many unknowns that might also be lurking unseen that no surgeon can say may or may not exist, my option was either the MMX or annual screening, the 2nd being a bit pointless as the DCIS didn't show before! Only made the decision finally last night and will likely have the MMX in next 3 weeks, no reconstruction, as I am only a Bcup and have never worn a bra and don't really show my shape in my clothes choice, lots of layers and scarves is my normal outerware!

So over last week have also been trying to find out how often Paget patients get a recurrence after lumpectomy, or B. have it in 2nd breast - as originally my though process took me down the double MMX line, but have decided against that for now.
