Thinning hair
Omg! I am getting ready to leave the house and tried a new product and I had to stop everything to get here and tell you about it. Please know I am NOT affiliated with the company (Caboki) but it will sound like I am.
I am on erebulin (sp) and my hair has thinned considerably, and I am not a turban/hat/cap girl. I have a wig, but I hate having anything like that on my head. It makes me sweat and itch. I don't go out because of that. I had wonderful hair.
This is my second round of chemo that causes hair loss. I thought this time, Fuck it. I'm gonna hack it myself, what does it matter, it looks like shit anyway. When I did go out, I'd wear a bandana or Buff.
I've used a number of the keratin, shake on powders, and they do work. Topik is one. But the color never matched. And my hair was now grey, instead of the lovely soft light brown I was when I dyed it.
So I dyed my grey hair a light brown and it looked better. But those damn bald streaks! I got a free sample of Caboki(without getting ripped of, signing up for a subscription, they didn't take my credit card) and I used it today.

It is amazing. It fills in the patches to the point that it looks like I have hair. I initially was only going to use it on the top of my head, in the part not covered by the Buff. But it looked so real that I removed the Buff from my forehead (I was already sweaty and itching) and had at my whole head.
I thought, WHY DID I HACK OFF MY HAIR??? It now looks like I have hair.
I stopped what I was doing and thought, I have to tell my sisters on breastcancer.org!
So: Here I am. I've been going through alot of shit (horible side effects from Neulasta and the Eribulen), depression, anger, etc. But this stuff is the best thing that's happened to me in a loooong time.
I do not work for this company. A number of you have helped me. I wanted to share this, because many people do not appreciate how devastating it can be for women to lose their hair. Very few people get it. I've stayed home for months.
Get a free sample, or pay for small bottle. It does not work for completely bald heads, you have to have some hair. Many of us do, but we shave it all. I am so glad I only hacked at my hair. What's left is growing.
If you have any questions, PM me and I'll send you my pictures. I have them on my phone, not on Youtube, so I can't post them here.
Ellen
PS. Does anyone know a good tattoo product that works for brows? The one I just bought makes me look like Groucho Marx.
