Have you thought about going to UTSW in Dallas? This is where I am going for my treatment.

I also highly recommend UTSW. My surgeon moved to NYC but I now see Dr. Leitch and Dr. Froechlich is my MO. Also Dr Allison Laidley at Medical City for surgeon.

    Thanks ladies

For the second opinion I need to gather all the medical records.

Should I see both breast surgeon and the oncologist

    Who should I see first.

Should I tell them I came for second opinion.

What is the etiquette to follow when you are seeking second opinion.

And I don't need to tell my current Bs and oncologist correct.

    How do you all proceed

UTSW is the only NCI Designated Cancer Center in our area. Loved my Gyn Onc and genetics doctor there.

I recommend Dr Rachel Wooldridge at UTSW. I originally had implant recon with Dr Sumeet Teotia but wasn't happy and had a redo with Dr Danielle LeBlanc in Ft Worth.

The PS's at UTSW are heavily into flap surgeries, which is good. Dr Haddock is good. It's disappointing that they have not yet embraced pre-pec implants.

Thanks ladies. I am happy with current breast surgeon and mo. My friends are suggesting to take second opinion. After that I can feel more confident

I have an appointment with Dr. Wooldridge on Monday to discuss a prophylactic mastectomy. I'm also going to meet a surgeon at Texas Oncology though. My concern with UTSW was that it would take a really long time to schedule surgery as I know they are busy there. Was yours prophylactic? I'm curious how long you had to wait for surgery?
