Greetings Moderators,

A professional videographer took pictures of my mastectomy surgery. I'd like to post the pictures to the following thread:

https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/91/topics...

but need permission from Mods. The pictures are astonishing and clear and graphic. They depict the reality of breast cancer surgery.

You are so brave to ask for photos!!!! I had to screw up my courage to look at even the closed incision for the first time!

I think it is a good idea to have photos for those who are interested.

Thank you Santa Barbarian. Hoping a Moderator OKs it. I was surprised I didn't have any emotional reaction to the very graphic pix. I think I was so scared before surgery that ate up all my emotional energy.

I looked all over the internet for pix of the surgery beforehand and could not find any. So I asked my surgeon and she most graciously arranged everything.

It is truly astonishing mankind has the technology to do this surgery and have the patient survive it. I was up walking around the entire hospital unit 5 hours after they closed me.

When you see the pix you will see how amazing that is.

Praying for good outcomes for all fellow cancer battlers and their surgeries.
