Weird lump in groin around 1 year remission date :(
Hello! This is my first time posting on this forum even though I've been lurking since my initial diagnosis in 2017 greetings!!
History: I was diagnosed at 24yo with stage 1 IDC in 2017 — my tumor was 1.9cm grade 3. I went through ACT chemo, double mast (I'm BRCA2+) and will be one year in remission on February 1st.
TLDR; found a lump in my groin and my gyno is concerned about it - going to a gyno-onc. am I crazy to be worried about this being mets since it's not in a very typical mets location?
I recently found a small firm, immobile lump deep under the skin on my perineum (TMI warning: the muscle in between my rectum and vagina). Figured i would just get my GYNO to check it out on the 22nd as I was already schedule for a follow up on a concerning and growing ovarian cyst that my GP found.
So I finally had that GYNO appointment on Tuesday after weeks of waiting and worrying. The lump has not gone down in size and I can't seem to figure out WTH it is. So my gyno also has no clue what this lump is. She says it's not rectally or vaginally "involved" and is in this no-mans land in between lol yay.
She's referring me to a gynecological oncologist for a septated ovarian cyst that has doubled in size in a month (8cm now) and also for this weird lump in my perineum. She's worried since I'm BRCA2+ about this cyst and is also very concerned about the lump..
I was in a bit of a fog when she sat me down and started using words like "biopsy, surgery, blood tests".. ugh it's like cancer PTSD to hear these words again.
I'm honestly not that concerned as much about the ovarian cyst (figure it's a tamoxifen side effect) as I am about this weird lump. I know it's a crazy place for BC mets but I've nearly convinced myself that it's going to be some crazy mets (it would be my luck) and that it's probably in other places internally as well. Is this seriously insane to be thinking it's metastasized on my perineum?
I needed to vent all of this craziness but also figured someone could help ease my worries before the appointment on Feb 7th.

Uuugh. If your doc made the appointment for you, call and see if you can get in sooner. I have had a lot of luck doing this; especially when something is changing size. I am so sorry you are dealing with this added stress. Praying it is something benign. Please keep us posted.
And welcome; glad you're unlurking.

Thank you kbee!!
my general GYNO said it's tentative and that they're trying to get an appointment in sooner due to the concern. I'm going to call the gynecological onc on my lunch break today and see if they can get me in sooner. Fingers crossed.
