ACR Appropriateness Criteria- What Study Should We Do?

There have been a number of posts dealing with what studies are ordered for their particular symptoms, in what order they are performed, and what exams should they request the next time they speak to their docs. The American College of Radiology issues and regularly updates a list of recommended studies for nearly everything. Here are some selected ones from the Breast list(s). Hopefully this will explain a few things.

Employing these guidelines helps providers enhance quality of care and contribute to the most efficacious use of radiology"
