Reaction to chemo treatments

Hi,

I am being given Taxotere and Cytoxan every 3 weeks. On my second round and just this week again on my third, I have a very bad reaction on the next day. I wake up very early in the morning with shaking, chills, heaving breathing and very ill. No fever. Yesterday was the worse than three weeks ago.

Doctor office (nurse triage) said to take antibiotics and the antibiotics do make it better. But yesterday I was pretty out of it all day and night and miserable even after taking the antibiotic. It's being called an infection but I'm not sure why, but it feels also like an allergic reaction maybe?

I feel better today...and based on the last round, I should just experience regular chemo crud from here for a few days, which seems more normal to me.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so, what was causing this and what did do?
