DCIS found in my tumor sample

Hi All,
In reading over my pathology, apparentlly there was some DCIS found on a couple of slides, in addition to the IDC. My tumor was 1cm in greatest diameter. Is this a normal finding? Thanks!

Extremely normal. Most of us had both IDC and DCIS.

Very normal. DCIS is first as noninvasive (contained in the milk ducts) then it breaks out and becomes IDC.
