Low Platelett Counts on Aromasin

I have been taking Aromasin for about 4 months now. ONC has taken me off the aromasin because of the low platelett counts. He is not sure why I have the low counts because he said the aromasin usually doesn't cause low counts. I also have been getting the Xgeva too. Taken off that too for a month. Anybody else have issues like this?.

So sorry you are going through this. I personally have not had low platelet count on aromatase inhibitors but I have definitely heard it is a side effect. Your doc should have known this. Hopefully your counts will come up and you can try another one. Good luck and keep us posted.

I really am starting to question my ONC on this one. I was on Ibrance before the aromasin and he he took me off of it just because of the low blood counts on the lower dose. Seems like I should have stayed on it longer after the counts came back up to see if it was working. But he quickly switches to something new after 3-4 months. Don't know if I should switch ONC's or not. There's like 12 ONC's in this facility now and don't want to make him feel bad if I switch to someone else cause they all talk and meet together.
