AC-T Chemo Regiment Beginning Jan 25

Hello- I would love to find others who are starting AC-T to communicate with as we go along. I begin 4 rounds of AC (1 every 2 weeks) beginning Jan 25 then on to 3 months of Taxol (1 per week for 12 weeks). Anyone else out there? Erin (From Maine)

I started AC-T in September so am 3/4s the way done. As you will hear a lot of these boards, it is tough but you will make it through. Make sure to report your side effects to your MO and team as there are lots of things they can prescribe to help. Good luck!

Hi Erin!That is the same treatment I will be starting as well on Jan 15. I am doing a neoadjuvant plan so I have not had any surgery yet. Anxious and nervous about first chemo day but ready to get started!

Thankyou Erin, yes I had a port put in a week ago, then echo 2 days later. Just had first treatment today. Went better than I was expecting.(the steroids are probly helping) I was nervous but everything went good, no reactions to the meds. Urine is reddish afterwards but will go away. You might want lidocaine to put on your port area(hour before) for the needle poke. Tomorrow neulasta shot. Good luck, Stay positive,hope all goes well for you as well!! You got this!! 😉

Thank you so much! I get Port and Echo on Monday. Feeling intimidated by the amount of stuff I have to buy pre chemo.
