I'm 39 with a strong family history of breast cancer. My grandma, mom, and a sister have all had breast cancer before 40. I recently found a lump in my left breast. I've also noticed that my breast is a little more dusky, and I've had recurrent pains in my breast and collar bone. I've been extra tired and have felt kinda off lately. It's a vaguely nauseous feeling.

I had my boyfriend feel the lump because I was really getting myself worked up over it. I was hoping he was going to say he doesn't feel anything. But his response was wow, that's really big. I have an appointment on the 22nd but I'm freaking out. It's all I think about if I'm not keeping myself busy. I find myself randomly feeling the lump or my collar bone.

Amken, I know how scary it is. Can you call your dr office tomorrow and ask for an urgent appointment? Don't discount how much the stress affects you. The worry makes this urgent. The faster you get scanned and figure out what it is, the better you'll feel.

    Amken,

Agree with moth - call and get your appointment moved up. It may well be nothing to worry about, but no use stressing yourself. Put your mind at ease and find out if anything is going on.

We are here for you. Best wishes
