It’s exactly 10 years ago today that I was diagnosed. To all those newly diagnosed I just wanted to share that the first part really was the hardest for me, especially the emotional trauma of diagnosis, but that it got easier with time - even all the treatment became more manageable as I went through it. To my surprise, there came a day when cancer wasn’t the first thing I thought about when I woke up. And, however cliched it may sound, many good things did come out of the experience, including my lovely husband (then boyfriend) who stood by me through thick and thin.

I hope you find every resource you need to get through it, both from the people around you and from inside yourself.
